About Me

I provide my team and UX professionals the support they need to deliver well-designed experiences to the world.

I’ve designed and managed dozens of strategic user experience development programs and products. I’ve grown and diversified my design and management skills in: Product Design • Graphic Design • Dev/Design Ops • Branding • Team Manager • Front-End Development • Sales/Marketing Strategy • User Experience Design • Project Management

List of Center Centre Programs I Manage and Design

Things I geek out on

  • Design Styles

  • Growing Design Teams

  • Disney (I’m a weird Disney Adult)

  • Theme Parks (again Disney Adult here)

  • Horror movies

  • Funny-looking Cats (I have a sphynx)

  • My Kiddos (they are seriously cute)

Product Strategy

.

Oversaw organization experiences from development to deployment. Managed team members in cross-functional collaborative efforts and worked alongside the company CEOs to develop various product strategies that fit into the overall business strategy.

Business Development: Customer Funnel

This funnel illustrates a business model for our audience to discover our offerings, enter through a lead generator, follow specific interest pathways, and then progress into our larger paid program that meets their specific needs.

Marketing Leadership: Content Management

This Diagram shows how we onboard new members to our content, then segment our audience base on their interests and needs in our content. It was then used to map an automation workflow for our development team.

Product Management: Offer Experience

This experience map helps us best serve our members as we consider the roadmap of program costs, time commitments, team participation, and what success for our users (and company) looks like.

Visual Design (all the Things)

Logos and Icons: Designed major and minor branding elements.

UI and Interactive Elements: Personally hand coded or lead the development direction.

Marketing and Social Media: Wrote and designed posts for Center Centre, Jared Spool, and Leaders of Awesomeness.

Website & Email Pattern Designs

As lead of design, I managed each brand’s design and identity for web development and email strategy. I created overall design pattern libraries to work across the various brand websites and email needs. I’ve created overall structures, code patterns, and design styles that are made to be broken when needed to fit a specific brand. I work with web development teams to design, code, and set up these patterns with HTML, CSS, PHP, and REACT.

Designer and Experience Manager

I’ve worn many hats while working at Center Centre and make sure every detail of our in-person and digital programs and products meets the needs of our users and customers.

I’ve overseen and executed the design of in-person experiences, printed materials, user journeys, internal team processes, program branding and so much more. I’ve worn the hats of event planner, program developer, and managed members of our web development and marketing teams. I’m an integral part of our hiring processes and even helped to build an entire higher education school (seriously, I’ve done the paperwork).

Summer Kohlhorst Business Card Design

I’ve designed most of the print materials for Center Centre including our business cards.

We took the names of 1,200 Kickstarter backers and turned their names into our Wall of Awesomeness.

I’ve designed physical signage, posters, handouts, worksheets, and so much more.

Jared Spool introducing Mike Monteiro for a large Speaking event

I’ve managed event production and design for large speaking events.

I’ve managed the schedules of month long programs, bringing in regular speakers and workshop needs.

In the Chattanooga Community

I work to improve my community by helping other people advance their design, development, and professional skills. I've been a member of the board of directors for The Chattanooga Technology Council. I’ve been involved with local Design Groups, Toastmasters Leadership groups, Chamber of Commerce Educational and Training committees, and Women’s professional and tech-focused groups.

In Leaders of Awesomeness

I love connecting with other UX professionals and coaching them on the ways they can focus their talents to make some serious awesomeness in their organization. Feel free to join our Leaders Community and reach out to me to connect. :)
